Creating the Future of Work

AV Everywhere

To see the future of work, it helps to have the insight of companies that have grown through years of changes. Bring together some of the most well known and successful businesses in a collaborative environment and ask, “How will people collaborate in the workplace of the future?”

That’s what AVI-SPL is doing with its Customer Advisory Board, which includes Fidelity, MasterCard, the Walt Disney Company and other high-profile corporations. You’ve seen the changes that have affected and improved upon workplace collaboration, like technology systems that allow remote teams to share and work on documents in real time. In the CAB fall retreat, members looked ahead to the technology systems that will become standard and the expectations they’ll help shape.

In her summary of the fall CAB retreat, SVP of Marketing Kelly Bousman highlights some of the group’s research-based talking points and assumptions:

  • People are changing jobs more often.
  • Connectivity and collaboration are a business priority.
  • People expect workplace flexibility. That flexibility includes using their preferred digital technology to work with online colleagues.

Bousman lists the issues (including worker and business demands) that CAB members think they’ll need to address today and years from now. Such challenges include:

  • Voice control of room devices.
  • Artificial Intelligence.
  • An infrastructure that meets the increasing demand for wireless and video collaboration technologies.

The article concludes by looking at the agreed-upon approaches for dealing with the future of work and its challenges. AVI-SPL’s Customer Advisory Board continues to reap benefits from thinking about the future of work. In sharing this, you too may be inspired to reach out to AVI-SPL and talk about getting your workplace ready for future success.

AV Everywhere

Frost & Sullivan recently named AVI-SPL the winner of its 2018 Global Managed Video Conference Service Growth Excellence Leadership Award.

This award recognizes AVI-SPL’s leadership in supporting the way people communicate and collaborate within the workplace. The variety of meeting spaces — huddle rooms, collaboration spaces, boardrooms, training areas — and the technology within them require flexible managed video conferencing services.

Within the award report, Frost & Sullivan looks at AVI-SPL’s ability to grow its video conference services by providing support that includes:

  • Professional services like evaluation, design and deployment that meet business outcomes
  • Managed services (onsite or from global service operations centers) that monitor and manage the AV and UC environment
  • Customer care like global help desk assistance that focuses on exceeding expectations by measuring customer satisfaction

The paper also looks at AVI-SPL Symphony, the managed services platform that Frost & Sullivan nicely summarizes:

Considered the centerpiece of AVI-SPL’s services go-to-market strategy, AVI-SPL Symphony allows businesses to automate the back-end processes required to schedule, monitor, manage, and analyze the global video conferencing and AV assets from a single platform. The AVI-SPL Symphony end user management application is designed as an easy to use, browser-based and mobile-friendly dashboard representing the customer’s window to the organization’s total meeting environment.

Frost & Sullivan explains the criteria that led to this award, including AVI-SPL’s growth strategy, which provides companies with simple, reliable collaboration systems and the business insight of Big Data and analytics.
